The “Blue Book” says….
Guild GAD-JF30 (NO. 381-3000)
– jumbo body, solid spruce top, solid AAA flamed maple back and sides, mahogany neck, 20-fret ebony fingerboard with diamond inlays, rosewood bridge, wood binding, clear pickguard, rosewood peghead cap, nickel hardware, available in Antique Sunburst, Blonde, or Ice Tea Burst (2004-08) finish, mfg. 2004-2011.
I say –
Designed by Guild but hand made in China – a low (ish) costing jumbo sized guitar. Headstock on this has a few signs of wear and tear. Ebony fingerboard is in near perfect condition, frets show few – if any signs of wear. Beautiful inlay work on the neck. The soft spruce top looks asif it has a crack from the bridge to the heel – however this is varnished over and doesn’t move so I suspect that this is stable and factory based. I also suspect that it accounts for the “Used” imprint on the headstock where a serial number would usually be.
The top also has quite a few “pressure marks” in the spruce – these haven’t broken the lacquer, but are evident and can be seen “in a certain light”
The curly maple sides only show one dent on the upper side. The beautiful maple back is unmarked and has a remarkable herringbone inlay.
Guild original hard case is in great condition.
