I Say:

Ooooh  – Super Special – Super rare.  A very limited edition number of 3 pickup Les Paul Supremes were made for the NAMM 2014 show ( as mentioned here http://www.gibson.com/News-Lifestyle/News/en-us/NAMM-2014-It-s-A-Wrap!.aspx).

This item is in near perfect condition, only displaying the lightest of wear marks, at their most noticeable on the pickup covers.  There is none of the usual “in use” wear to the other gold plated hardware.

The headstock is unmarked, all the gold on the machine heads is unmarked and shiny.  The Neck, Ebony fingerboard and Gold coloured Frets are unmarked.  The Body has – as far as I can see – one entirely unnoticeable dent, the rear I find unmarked.

The Maple top and back in this is so highly figured it’s almost quilt.

The pickups are 2x 490R pickups and one 498T in the Bridge.

How do you work a 3 pickup guitar off a three way toggle? Well on this one the middle pickup is always on, so you get N&M, N&M&B, or M&B…. Ok?  What does this mean – well most noticeably  – MORE!  The output of this guitar is so high that it was overdriving my amps input channel from the usual “clean” setting.  If you’re one of those player that plays with the volume knob a lot to change your tone – this just gets you there quicker!!

Guitar comes with Gibson Hardcase as pictured – in excellent condition.
