The Blue book says:
H-535
– double round cutaway semi-hollow body, cream-bound curly maple laminate top and back, solid curly maple sides, two f-holes, mahogany neck, 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, three-per-side tuners, tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, raised curly maple pickguard, two humbucker pickups, four knobs (two v, two tone), three-position switch, chrome hardware, available in Antique Sunburst finish, 16 in. body width, 1.5 in. body thickness, 24.75 in. scale, mfg. 1987-2007.
I say:
Basically this is a bit special.
Built by the same guys who built the legendary ’50’s Gibson ES 335’s – in the same way – by hand.
“Natural” Maple laminate top back and sides. Dark Mahogany neck, rosewood Fingerboard. Hardly a mark on it! – in fact the only mark I can see is a scuff to the top right of the headstock – clearly shown in the photos.
Seymour duncan ’59 pickup set factory fitted, all electronics in full working order and crackle free.
I would suggest that you reference this as a ’50’s neck – quite a handful!
Beautiful. Comes with original hard case as pictured, guarantee etc still in the neck pocket!
