I say….

This is way too cool….

I’ve always loved the “Lucille” BB King guitars, but somehow they always seem to slip away from permanence in the collection.  This is a reissue of the ES 345 TD that BB King originally started with, and is sometimes referred to as an ES 45.

Found this this week – and I’m delighted – It’s in near perfect condition – the very lightest of buckle rash on the rear, no chips or dings, only the usual wear marks to gold hardware and polishing swirls.

Totally original with ’57 Classic (PAF) pickups, this has a huge thick tone that as a result of the long neck tenon sustains for weeks.  Add into this the great Varitone option with it’s 6 preset tones that apply frequency notches at intervals to give different sonic characteristics.

Rosewood fingerboard and frets appear to show no signs of wear.

Original Gibson Case with BBKIng Screenprint and shroud included – I think there’s even still some paperwork in the neck pocket!
