I Say:

This was quite a surprise when I opened the box – I was expecting a more vibrant Red, this is distinctly more brown than Red, and possibly more peach coloured than brown – confusing – sure – but beautifully different.

Scaled down ES335 size – but with all the classic looks and sound.  The headstock shows some minor signs of shrinkage around the inlay work, but nothing damaged.  The neck is a comfortable D shaped profile – feels quite slim to me, I guess PRS would call it “wide – thin.”  The lacquer on the back of the neck shows some unusual red patches – but these are just marks in the lacquer – there since manufacture.  The ebony fretboard is beautifully dark and close grained, it and the frets are as close to being unmarked as possible!

The book matched maple top with it’s multiple binding is just breathtaking.  I’ve only managed to find three very minor dents in the surface – and you’ve to really look for them…  The arched back of the body is unmarked.  The Bigsby only shows the most minor aspects of use, as the gold plate is thinning where the hand usually rests during playing.

All electronics are crackle free and fully functional.

The case is in near perfect condition, and has the COA, Warranty card and care manual, along with a truss rod adjuster and keys!

When I’ve had a good play I’ll comment on how it sounds!
