I say:

The Heritage Story is a real triumph of the “little man” – when Gibson decided to relocate their factory in the 1980’s their workers didn’t want to move and bought up the old plant and machinery that had built the legendary guitars of the 1950’s-60’s.  Many of the original workers use the original tools and methods to make the guitars that Heritage now produce.

This guitar is totally gorgeous.  Very few marks on this one, the highly rated  HRW pickups give a bright and strong fundamental – totally smooth and dynamic at the same time.

All electrics are fully functional and crackle free.

I would be tempted to describe the finish as Bright, or lively – but not garish.  The figured, maple, arched front and back are subtle but evident.  Mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard are in excellent condition.  There is a signature evident in the lower “f” hole – Not sure if this means anything, but it needs to be noted that it’s there! – see pics.

Tone pros locking hardware is a bonus (Bridge and Tailpiece)

Case is in excellent condition for its age (as is the guitar!)

It plays like a dream!
