I say…

A great Les Paul standard – does what it says on the tin! – Great gold top with relatively few marks, the back and sides have had some “stand damage” due to cheap stands and non-nitro friendly rubber pads.  I’ve done my best to illustrate the damage on the lower edge of the guitar.  The pickups are Standard Gibson fare, and deliver what you’d expect of a Gibson!!

It has a “Limited edition” transfer on the back of the neck, Gibson have confirmed that this was a limited edition – but only as far as the Goldtop wasn’t a standard colour at that time.  So It appears to be a pretty standard “Standard” with a limited edition paint job!  The neck profile is a “rounded ’59 neck profile.

The original Gibson Hard Case has seen some wear – and has a broken combination lock, but does its job admirably – i.e. the guitar is actually in great shape –

I’ve replaced the capacitors in the tone circuit with Sprague Orange Drops – the originals are taped to the back of the control cavity cover.
