Guitar Scratch Remover
Guitar Scratch Remover
Brand new - imported from the USA.
£20 plus £2.50 P&P - in the UK - other places will be more expensive.
Over the years I have taken great pride in the appearance of my guitars, I guess that's why I started marketing the "Gerlitz" range of guitar care products.
Equally I have often been frustrated that (particularly on black guitars) things like pick scrapes and the like show up so easily. Over the years I've used "T cut" to the detriment of my guitars, I've tried luthiers polishing compounds, but having gone through the lacquer on one old guitar (very expensive mistake!), I set out to find something better.
Last year I purchased some of the "Guitar Scratch Remover" from Eternashine, and I've never looked back. I've had great success removing scrapes and scratches from many of my guitars.
If the scratch has not gone through the lacquer, chances are that this product will minimise it and possibly make it disappear.
It does not replace colour, replace chips, it does not fill dents and gouges, it doesn't make the guitar or you play any better.
But …..
It CAN revive a dulled finish.
It CAN remove pick scrapes and polishing swirls.
It CAN minimise the appearance of more serious scratches.
It CAN be used over and over - it's that gentle!
Personally I'd recommend using it before protecting your guitar with the "Gerlitz" range of care products, and then only reusing it when you've acquired enough scrapes to warrant a further treatment.
NOTE: This is safe for use on any modern high gloss finish (Nitro Cellulose, Polyurethane etc). It is not suitable for satin or matt finishes, and should not be used on unfinished wood or oiled finishes.
I would advise you to take the time to check out some videos of it in action here:
The kit advertised here is the new packaging format, it contains two squeezy bottles of the two polishing compounds, (the blue one is slightly more abrasive than the red one) a soft microfibre cloth for application and use, and full instructions. The products are applied by hand and require no specialist skills or tools. Each kit contains enough of the compounds for approximately 25 treatments.
Possibly a miracle in a jar!
"A couple days ago I put an inch long scratch in the headstock of my beloved '79 Mapleglo Rickenbacker 4001 - deep enough to feel with my fingernail.
In desperation I googled “remove guitar scratch” and found this stuff.
It sounded too good to be true but I bought the Player's Kit.
Well I can hardly believe it, but just a little of the blue polish has COMPLETELY got rid of the scratch!
It also smoothed out some very deep 20 year old scratches on the body.
I can confirm that Eternashine is safe for the finish of a vintage Rickenbacker bass.
This stuff is seriously beyond awesome!"
